291

occI am happy to report that my church collected 291 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  It’s such a GREAT ministry!  So neat to think that almost 300 childen will not only read the gospel, but experience it through the gifts in the boxes.  It’s not too late to do a box!  If you want to know how to do a box, click here.  And if you are looking for a drop off site, click here.  It really is great fun!  An be sure o include something huggable (a small stufed animal) as well as a picture and a letter.  Oh, and if you aren’t able to do a box but want to help with shipping them all over the world, please click here.

Yes, yes there is still time! I have to let you all in on something…..if you donate on EZ give on the website you will get a bar code to add to your box. This is going to be used to test tracking the box so they can do it next year. If you do EZ give, you may be able to see where your box went. How cool is that!!What a blessing to have technology like that at this time in our lives.

Also, if you don’t get a box in by November 24th that is just fine. You can always mail boxes to Boone, NC (address on the website) even year round. Anytime that Samaritan’s Purse goes in for disaster relief or something, they bring OCC boxes for the children. This is a year round effort and one that you can help whenever you feel called to do so.

Let’s all fill shoe boxes. Each box is also a Gospel opportunity. What a thrilling thought!!!! Millions of children are being touched by God’s love and an opportunity to know Him!!!
